Ive never understood why Couturier is deemed untouchable by the flyers. From a pure point production standpoint he is essentially a 3rd line center. |

Couturier being untouchable is the dumbest thing I've seen. I like Sean but he's less then a half a point per game player for his 5 year career, how/why is that untouchable ? |

He's current 3rd on the depth chart at RW and Konecny will be here in the next two years, presumably as a RW. Simmonds doesn't play LW at all, which is easily the franchises biggest need now. I love what he brings but I wouldn't make him untouchable by any means. If the Jets called up with Ehlers for Simmonds or Simmonds+ I would be all ears. |

Eckland said "couts was untouchable", but what he didnt mention was that it was Wolfhounds who told him. |

I don't see Coots getting traded because its a steep drop off after him at C, unless they were to move Schenn back to C but I doubt it. |

agreed, it would make zero sense to move Simmonds, 3 more seasons on a very reasonable contract. |

A source tells me that "any moment now this deal will be announced and it will be a good marker for Stamkos…"
Do we not have a trade freeze right now? How can this happen "any moment now" ?

Its already been talked about, that a Kopi deal is mostly finished. Theyre just ironing out the possible NMC, NTC and bonus dollar amounts for each year. |

I don't think Kopitar signing an extension counts as a trade. |

No way Simmonds get moved unless the deal is lopsided in Flyers favor! He's the only one who created any traffic in front, stands up for teammates, and adds the only grit in the team. The Schenns can be moved for the right return. |

You guys do realize Couturier is only 22 years old right? For a guy who can shutdown the likes of Crosby and Malkin is more than a 3rd line center. They guy has all the potential in the world to become a future Bergeron, maybe not as offensively skilled as Bergeron but I can see him in the 25 goal range in the future and around 60 points. |

Simmonds is the next Mike Richards. Deal him while he still has value. Guy can't skate, he doesn't play well with the puck and he is streakier than my underwear. Creating traffic can be taught. Flyers can find a body to replace him in the future. |

Wow, you are very slow, this EXTENSION has been discussed for a while now. A MARKER means an example or comparison. So Stamkos will likely wants more than what Kopitar is getting or around there
